Project Update - Harmony
It’s not every day that a community is named BILD Calgary’s Community of the Year – Calgary Region, but for Harmony to receive the honour for the fourth time is outstanding! We have always believed that Harmony is special – a community full of stunning amenities and often boast about how our residents brought to life our vision of what community means. To have our industry peers agree with us just makes us even more proud to be apart of something truly amazing.
Harmony was launched in 2016 and is a master-planned community developed under a partnership between Qualico Communities and ourselves. Our goal was to re-think what community means, create a space for individuals and families to flourish, and believe strongly in providing an outlet for an active lifestyle. That’s why, even though Harmony is still in the early phases of development, we have already built a stunning 40 acre fresh-water lake (with another 100 acre lake to come); beaches; pathways; playgrounds; and a new Adventure Park. Harmony is also home to the Mickelson National Golf Club, which is on track to be one of Canada’s top courses. And we aren’t finished, we can’t wait to see what the future has to hold.
“Harmony’s amenities are set on the west side with gorgeous Rocky Mountain views. It brings together the best of urban and country experiences to create a remarkable community,” says Laurel Lapointe, marketing manager for Bordeaux Developments. “Families truly appreciate living within an active, amenity-rich community that is both the the perfect base camp to the Rockies and yet only 20 minutes to downtown Calgary. It’s the perfect balance.”

“We are extremely proud for Harmony to be selected as Community of the Year – Calgary Region for a fourth time. Harmony’s vision has been a collaboration of many stakeholders from our team, our partner Qualico Communities, our builders, members of the community, and Rocky View County.” Says Birol Fisekci, president and CEO of Bordeaux Developments. “It is a great honour to have our team’s dedication to the community recognized by our peers.”
“We are honoured to be named Community of the Year – Calgary Region for the fourth time,” Said Nina Wulder, marketing and communications coordinator for Qualico Communities Calgary. “Being recognized again really speaks to how the thoughtfully designed community provides residents with a sense of community and livability.”
