Founded in 2001 by partners Birol Fisekci, William Pringle & Gerald Hennig, Bordeaux Developments was indeed named after the famous historical city of France. The founders shared a common love for fine wine and a penchant for placemaking.  Bordeaux has been described as a "wonderous place of grace and beauty with quirky surprises around every corner".  Embedded with a rich soulful passion for food, wine and art, history rests easily alongside the present in Bordeaux, along with the grand, the intimate, the glamour and the humble.  Like the food and the wine, life simply seems richer and deeper in Bordeaux.  We want you to have the same feelings when you fall in love with our projects.

Birol is the CEO and President, and a transformative visionary when it comes to residential development for Bordeaux.


His background is in land development and home building with his start in Turkey as a director for Kemer Tourism A.S., a land development and home building company in Istanbul, Turkey. He was part of a team that developed a US$500mm residential project, “Kemer Country”.  While with Kemer, Birol was responsible for product delivery and client satisfaction for a construction program averaging US$40M per year.


After a 10-year career in Turkey, Birol returned to Canada to co-found Bordeaux.  READ MORE

Bill has been in the construction and real estate development business for 40 years, first as a framer and in concrete high rise forming, followed by auditing Calgary’s premier residential development company in the 1970’s.  His career in the 1980’s was focused on shopping centre development, management and financing. 

Bill is a Chartered Accountant, and Chairs the Board of Directors, along with strategic leadership of the companies projects, risk management, financial structuring and using a lifetime of experience to create new opportunities for the company. READ MORE

Elise Harlick,

Using his 18 years of experience, Ryan and his team develop strategic integrated marketing and communications programs for the projects Bordeaux manages. With formal education in Visual Communications, Journalism and Business, Ryan joined Bordeaux in 2005 and has since produced industry-best award-winning campaigns for builder Baywest Homes and the Community of Harmony.


He brings expertise and dedication to building brands with resilience and value, challenging the norm and disrupting industry standards- seeking inspiration from the best brands in the world.

Elise joined Bordeaux Developments as Senior Development Manager. Her experience with Harmony working for an external planning & engineering company and her body of work with  municipal and land development engineering and project management made for a perfect fit to aid in bringing Harmony to the launch of Stage 1.


She was instrumental in project managing the owner’s role in the design and construction of Harmony’s state of the art water and wastewater treatment plants. Currently Elise manages all aspects of development of residential subdivisions under development within Bordeaux’s portfolio.

Kevin is the Senior Accountant for the Bordeaux Group of Companies and has been with the company over 10 years. 


He has Certified Managerial Accountant designation and a Diploma in Business Administration from Mount Royal College in Calgary.  Prior to joining Bordeaux, he was involved with an oilfield service company in Calgary, as their senior accountant, where he was responsible for financial reporting, revenue and cost analysis and compliance.


Kevin is responsible for accounting on Bordeaux’s land development operations and include financial reporting, cash management, mortgage financing and general accounting expertise.

Willie  brings in-depth expertise to our development sites. With a background spanning 25 years in residential construction, he started framing homes early on in his career. 

Willie joined Baywest Homes in 2001, establishing his career building complex custom homes as a Site Supervisor, and serving as Warranty Technician.


Willie moved over to Bordeaux in 2015 providing field operations support out on our development sites.  His experience spans all facets of residential construction with this full-circle expertise of how land must be prepped with the infrastructure, to how the new home will be built.  He is also our company’s certified Safety Officer.

Jenny Schneider,
Junior Accountant

Laurel joined Bordeaux in 2018 to offer marketing support and coordination for the community of Harmony and Rancher's Rise. She has significant housing industry marketing experience, previously managing marketing for Homes by Avi and Bri-Mor Developments.  

Laurel enjoys data analytics and digital marketing and provides robust support for day to day tactical execution of the project marketing campaigns. 

Jenny joined Bordeaux Developments in 2018, and offers accounting support to the Controller, and occasional dog-sitting for our CEO.  She is an experienced Junior Accountant with a history of working  in financial accounting and Quickbooks. She has a Bachelor  of Commerce (BCom) focused in Accounting from The University of Calgary.
